Crispi Track GTX Boots

These are the best boots I’ve had to date, well worth the expense. Wear them working on sheep, out on the moor and daily during snow in the winter. The only minor issue has been one lace hook opened up slightly, but that was probably operator error.

I have two other pair of crispy boots but the track had some features that made it the draw, the scratch that I couldn't itch.

The tread pattern stands out from other crispy models, deeper and open lends itself well to Muddy or rocky scree environments.
The protective overlay on the upper had some appeal but I wasn't initially sold on it, as leather is pretty unbeatable for protection in harsh environments. It does have some advantages but the longevity of the overlay, we will have to wait for.

One concern I had was how the overlay would effect comfort & flex. I found it to have zero effect.
The full rand is well applied and offers great protection for harsh environments. The leather and leather work is excellent as is with all my Crispi boots. The shaping of the ankle and it's padding works great on long steep descents, as does the tongue on ascents.
I have fairly wide feet. The Track, wrap my feet well, withought feeling constrained. I use the 'ladder lace' system and you may find its worth your time to experiment with lace tension if they don't instantly feel 'just right'.

Size wise, I find Crispi Track GTX to be 'True to Size' without constraint & still have room for foot swell on long days.

Warmth wise, I feel crispi have been a bit conservative. I find them to be a warm boot and with thick or possum & wool blend socks, reckon they will be comfortable past freezing.

In use, I've worn them over pathless Heath, on Fells, in dense woodland and on muddy footpaths. Initially, you may think that they will be clumpy and not give good ground feel. I find them to be the opposite. Especially on technical rocky routes. The Vibram Megagrip is the egg on my steak.... Makes them perfect.
In mud and wetlands, the sole pattern is the best I've ever had. Even soccer boots or fell running shoes lose some ground sometimes. The Track is no exception, but for a boot that is as happy on hard ground as it is soft... I stand by me saying that it's the best in mud as any other pattern I've had. I wish my Crispi Hunter boots had this sole.

If your a hiker that loves making the most of your right to roam, a Trig Bagger that won't be denied, a dog handler / picker-up, a rough shooter or stalker for game or photo album? Gamekeeper or Beater, I can't recommend these boots enough. ( yes I've been in all these scenarios)
Crispi don't bill them as resole able, but there are plenty of great cobblers who could fit a new sole on these when they do eventually wear down.
Aye, they're not cheap.... But neither is any serious boot these days. Crispi boots feel like an investment in my health & happiness.
I just wish that they were supplied with the Orange Laces :(

Very unfortunate that I will not get the boots of my dream. DHL return the item to you for unknown reasons to me ! They are pathetic
