Perfect for the job
Bought for archery outdoors over the winter. Worked perfectly as can open the mitten part to hold the string and then keep my hand warm whilst waiting for others to finish shooting. Only negative is that the Velcro patch could be fractionally larger.

We've had an attic blast here in mobile al it rarely gets in the low 20s but it was there last week & will b in the low 20s once again for a good 3 days I'll b sitting in my deer stand all of this comeing week freezing my tail off but my hands will b warm & toasty in my jack pyke suede palm shooters mitts my matching watchcap is killer also but the verney carton pants r the real deal I mean I can't say enough @ these pants top of the line the humidity here in the south is some kinda bad when it gets to the 20s degree mark it's a cold to the bone cuz of the hi humidity I'm gonna but another pair cuz I'm gonna b trapping beavers next month may have to get wet on this one boys thx a lot Philip Corley

Great mitts, not pricey but for me do a great job.They can keep my hands fully covered and warm but allow the versatility to peel back tops and have fingers free to operate tools or get something from your pocket. Suede palms give reasonable protection from brambles and thorns when your scrambling through a hedge. No claims of being waterproof but will stand light showers. Would have given a 5 but cotton holding folding Mitt on one hand is coming undone; but not at a rapid rate.
