Built for intensive field use, the Hawthorn range uses heavyweight ripstop fabric designed to resist tears, snags and abrasions, making this a hard-wearing combination for beating, farming, field sports, outdoor work and challenging countryside conditions.
The Hawthorn Jacket combines a waterproof and breathable construction with a heavyweight polyamide ripstop outer, fully taped seams and practical features designed for long days outdoors. Deep bellow cartridge pockets, fleece-lined handwarmer pockets, a large rear game pocket, underarm ventilation and an adjustable removable hood provide the versatility needed when conditions change.
Pair it with the Hawthorn Overtrousers for additional lower-body protection from rain, wind, brambles and rough vegetation. A note on sizing
Great coat. Nice length, good amount of pockets. Storm cuffs come out of the sleeves a bit too far (not ideal in the rain), but can be tucked back in. Took me far too long to work out where the press studs on the hood went, but that's on me.
The site recommended an L based on my measurements, but it swamped me. Replaced with a M and all good.

Great service as normal. Arrived on time and safely packaged. Good fit and look like they’ll stand up for what I need them for. I have one recommendation they really could do with belt loops as there is no way of adjusting the fit if you’re in between the size and the elastic stretch.

Fantastic jacket
After seeing an add for the new forest hawthorn jacket I decided to take a closer look while at the game fair, I was greeted by a friendly chap who told me all about the quantity of this jacket, he was right, the outside materials are very rugged, the fit for me was perfect, it has plenty of pockets and the rear is longer so as to sit on. This is a fantastic quality made jacket and I can’t wait for the bad weather among the trees to arrive.

winter beating jacket
I ordered this jacket as a winter beating / picking up jacket. Not worn it yet but it looks really well made and thorn proof.
Very reasonable price at half of what other brands sell for.
Time will test if it stands up the the weather and punishment.

Haven't actually used the yet but they seem to be good quality. At the price I was very surprised that there were no belt loops. I will be wrapping a belt around them as I suspect they may droop without one

Zipped waterproof trousers used for beating
I purchased a large in 29" leg. I'm a 34 waist 32 leg. They fit me fine, I think they are longer in the leg than 29.
Fantastic product worn a couple of times.
I got these to put on when caught in rain. I wear 10" boots and the full zip makes them easy to put on.
They are thick so you get a little warm kn them.
Look like they will last a good while.
