Excellent service. I had to return the jacket a first time as it was too small and exchange it for the largest size available, but no luck. I returned the second jacket for a refund. no qualms, no issues, Paul and Liam were very helpful. Money back in my account. As simple as one two three. Great company.

Idea jacket for wearing in the country side tough coat, been through bramble and scrub and certainly waterproof

I purchased this coat for cold weather spring clays and so far have been very pleased. It has handled weather up to -20°C (though I have only been out shooting around -12°C) without issue and still feels comfortable for movement even when wearing multiple layers underneath. My only initial complaint was that the zippers seemed finicky but after several weeks they appear to be working well.

Overall pleased with this item and the price.
However I will criticise the quality of the zips especially on the hood not finished very well zip splits open

Fantastic coat.
I was looking for a coat that would suit a days beating and shooting.
After a fair amount of research, looking for something that would suit prolonged wet weather, beating through brambles and Hawthorne, along with keeping me warm in the winter and protected in the Autumn and Spring, I decided to go for the Verne Carron.
My first day out with the jacket was a beat 3/stand 3 on one of the wettest days in December. The coat didn't disappoint. It kept me mainly dry all day. Slight leakage in the cuffs and collar but mainly due to the rain running in rather than soaking in.
The amount of pockets works well and the movement i have whilst beating/shooting is excellent.
Highly recommended.

What a jacket! I don't shoot regularly but beat occasionally and spend most of my days outdoors so was looking for a warm waterproof breathable jacket that was quiet and didn't make me look like mountain rescue. I wasn't sure on size even after reading other reviews so ordered a large and medium, I'm 5'8, 12 stone and a 42" chest and the medium fits perfectly with a T shirt and fleece underneath. The large I returned which was easy and straight forward and despite Christmas etc I've already had a refund so excellent service as well. The jacket is warm and comfortable with more pockets than you can shake a stick at. The removable micro fleece will make an excellent summer jacket making the whole combination a truly multi season garment with the gun sling and cleaning cloth nice extras even if you don't shoot. I've already used the latter to clean dropped glasses. All in all extremely impressed and very happy. I'll be using NFC again in fact already looking and seeing what I can redeem my loyalty points on.

I can't comment on long term reliability and durability, as I've only had it about a week. However, the quality of material and construction of the garment is excellent in my view. It's certainly warm, and it's wind and rain resistant. Assuming that it lasts well, and it looks like it will, I would definitely recommend it. As far as sizing goes, I followed the recommendations on the web site. My chest measures 45 inches, and the website recommendation fits very well.

Lovely jacket, really well made and it looks terrific. It will be a big hit Christmas Day. After reading other reviews I ordered Medium instead of Large and it is a perfect fit. It has lots of pockets too. I will be buying again from this company as the quality is excellent and such a reasonable price.

I'm not a hunter but I wanted a coat for walking / hiking that was warm, waterproof and breathable. I didn't want the norm and this coat surpasses my expectations on all aspects. It is very stylish that can be worn both in town and country. It feels heavy, hard wearing and durable unlike many hiking coats that rip on sight of a bramble.
Like many other reviewers I was impressed with the number of pockets. They are everywhere. On my first walk my wife said it's like walking with a tent! I was like a little kid. The best find was the rear flap that comes down to give a waterproof base to sit on. What a great idea. I previously carried a plastic bag.
Sizing: I am always worried about ordering on line. I always seem to get things to fit my head. But this was spot on. I am 5'8" 13st with a 43"chest, taking the moobs into consideration. I ordered a large and it was perfect with the fleece. Lots of room to move the shoulders even with a knitted jumper. Good fit round the chest and room for a good few dinners! The length comes just under my bum. I would go smaller than larger if in doubt.
Service: can't fault it. Ordered on Saturday and it was delivered the following day. I didn't test customer service.
I don't think you will regret this purchase.

I needed a coat with a lot of pockets. It's quite heavy with the inner fleece but when it's on you don't notice. It feels true to size and very comfortable. Ithe colour and material is excellent.

I am finding a pocket every time I wear it. I cannot recommend this coat enough. Ordered on a Saturday and was delivered on the Wednesday.

Great fit I'm sure it's going to be brilliant in the winter but have yet to try it out.
It has so many pockets I'm sure I'll loose things in them!! Hopefully it'll be a £20 note

It's a good coat but it is a shame it has orange string and prominent orange colour on the logo. These are a bit eyecatching and do not really go with the coat or blend into the countryside.

Quick efficient service from New Forest and the jacket is superb, exactly what I was looking for, warm and (I've not tried it yet) hopefully dry. The pockets are large enough to carry everything that I need.

Excellent jacket, loads of pocket inside and out. Husband 46" chest & 5' 9" height. According to size chart he should be XXL but the Large fitted perfectly. The service from New Forest Clothing excellent. Easy to return items and quick delivery. The inner jacket good quality and can be worn alone. Highly recommend this jacket

A much needed purchase. I bought this coat to beat in the day before us in Norfolk went into tier 4, so have only worn it on my BoJo daily 5 mile walk and everytime I say to myself that I should have taken out the fleec. This coat is extremely warm, comfortable and comes with an abundance of pockets. I would highly recommend this coat especially at the price. Mine wasn't delivered as expressly as other reviewers, but 5 days around Christmas time and free delivery you can't really complain.
