Exactly what it said in the advert. Nonetheless, for good measure I strengthened the strap stitching at the top and added a winder leather handle as well.

Absolutely perfect. The size is spot on for a day hiking. The quality is simply amazing. Even the real leather straps (none of that pleather ****!). The water proof interior layer !

Much more spacious than I thought. The colour and design of the product are excellent and the overall quality of the pack is superb, I'm a big fan. The only thing stopping me giving five stars is the leather straps and buckles. The leather is quite hard and unyielding and the buckles are quite stiff. I'm sure given time they will soften and become easier to operate, but for now it does make a quick opening of the bag a little difficult. Overall, really nice product!

The drawstring toggle broke after a couple of days of use and the drawstring itself is falling apart. Very disappointing quality. Won’t be buying anything made jack pyke again. Money down the drain for a bag that I can’t do up now.

Quality materials, plenty of storage, comfortable when wearing.

Stylish look appears a good quality product have not really used it yet but so far very pleased.

Checked all stitched joints ( after reading other review )........ all sound. Do think a zipper pocket inside would be a help: phone,cash etc.

Best bit is, that with careful loading the Day Pack will take TWELVE TINNIES !!! Bliss.

First time of using it has started to split at the top of one off the handles

A great stylish little day sack and a good size. A couple of minor issues, first there is no inner sleeve for carrying a tablet or laptop if required. Second, the girth of the front pocket is a little on the wide side and things could fall out, so it would have been nice for an inner zip as added protection.

Overall I'm happy with my Canvas Day Pack.

The colour blends in well with natural surrounds.

The size is adequate for general use, and the price is fair.

Although it is mostly composed of natural materials,

there does not appear to be an ethical or sustainability policy.

However I do have some suggestions for future models:

* a natural cotton liner would eliminate synthetic materials

* a larger top flap would keep rain off better and make it more secure

* a leather / waterproof base would make it more resilient

Also, listing the size in litres would make comparisons easier when buying.

This is a well made, sturdy bag. It is very handy to have as it holds a lot. Very good quality.

Great day pack for walking can fit in two water bottles or small flasks it is also lined to help if it rains, great value for money as the quality is excellent as with most Jack Pyke products

Well happy with this bag so far it big and as a few pockets on the outside for smaller items I got this to used for work but I will be using this when am outside walking it looks and feels great I can't see any problems with it ones this weather picks up? hopefully I can put it to test out walking over the moors and hills.

Ideal bag for walks etc. Well made product with a retro design, including spacious large compartment and 2 good size side pockets and easy access front pocket. The large compartment is lined and keeps everything dry. Really pleased with the product.

Great quality backpack

I find the straps fiddly, and last hole the worst to feed the pin through. It takes too long. Otherwise I very nice rucsac. Comfortable and large enough for a day's walking and a picnic.

pleased with my beautiful canvas backpack with its leather finishing touches which arrived on time and was nicely packaged.

Great rucksack with the right amount of space for daily essentials. Exactly what i am after. However, my only gripe is that the top end holes on the strap do not align with the buckle prong, making them inconveniently obsolete and then fiddly when trying to secure the bag shut. The only way around it is to create more accurate hole placements which will make the strap weak.
