I bought this vest for my Springer spaniel when out wildfowling to cover up his white bits and give him added warmth on them cold mornings. I went for the medium which fits him great, he's able to swim with it and he blends into the surroundings. All in all very happy with the vest.

Fit's really well

The first generation of this jacket was phenomenal for the money. New one not so much.

Always use New Forest clothing for all my dog walking and fieldsports clothing, and accessories.
This vest paid for itself from day one when my dog ran into a broken fence and a nail stuck into the chest part, luckily this did not go through into her chest causing injury.
Highly recommend, and this is a everyday use when beating!

Live this product so far, great quality zip and much more durable than others I've bought. It gapes a little around the neck but she was at the bigger end of the medium size so had to get large (she's a bit tubby for a springer)

Very nice product. Unfortunately the extra small was too big for my cocker, but the product was very well made.

after sending the first one back for a bigger size the next one fits just right but after he been wearing for about two hours we noticed that it had rubbed him roar underneath the armpits and looked very saw
On close inspection the jacket had rough edges on the seems that looks like melted plastic not ideal
So will be sending it back as if we left it any longer it would have been a visit to the vet
So very put off of using it again

Looks good fits ok but got very rough on the joins and edges my boy had it on for two hours and when I checked him it had rubbed him so bad under the arm pits it can’t be used now he’s spending Xmas with a collar on and plenty of soothing cream so not happy

Difficult to size to dog until tried on
Return and exchange was very easy and larger size delivered within a few days

Brilliant sizing for my dogs, protection is key for dogs when out beating. Keeps them lovely and warm, but yet still stylish üòé

Great product for cold wet days

This is our second one of these and they are excellent! Enabled us to get the dog out of a weir gate with brick sides by being able to use the grab handles. Coat gives him great protection from brambles and sticks in his chest and belly. Helps to keep him warm between drives.
New Forest Clothing were the best price and super speedy delivery. Great service.

Fits our spaniel perfectly

I love the thickness and strength of this wetsuit, it offers great protection from the elements.
The girth of the suit is a perfect fit however, the neck (as others have said in their reviews) is too wide. I had to pinch and stitch in four areas to make it fit otherwise it would just let all the water in when swimming or catch on things on walks. I also adjusted the leg holes because, whilst spacious without fear of rubbing, they're too big for medium and I expect, small dogs too. The width means parts of the suit then sticks out like an umbrella so I did a pinch and stitch to combat this.

Overall, this jacket is great for wide dogs with chunky necks and legs but will need some adjustments made otherwise. It's not a custom made jacket so I've no complaints about having to stitch it to make it fit my 21kg spaniel. It's keeping him warm allowing for longer swim and walks in the wet and cold weather. Also, I do love the pattern. He looks very smart wearing it.

Robust and well made. However fit not brilliant for my spaniel . Ordered small as dictated by chest size but neck gapes a lot. Thinking about modifying slightly.

The coat was great it was to big for my dog so I’ve had to send it back. The quality was great and I was really disappointed it had go back x

Great service from NFC as always. This is a great hard wearing dog vest. My spaniel is quite small, 15kg soaking wet. Measuring her up for this vest she had a 13" neck and a 22" chest, so I needed the XS size. Fitting in the body was size perfect. No obstructing her legs or back end. However, the neck area acts like a scoop. I'll only use this vest in a controlled environment because of this. Otherwise this would have got 5 stars.

Rubbish you sent the wrong size and have not answered my e mail about it.

Unfortunately this did not fit our Visla dog. Way too big in the neck and too short overall and tight round front legs. Should have accepted other reviews but wanted to try anyway. But they are right, only good for large round short type dogs - not lean long dogs.
Will have to return.
Shame as good quality coat - please make some small neck, large chest, long body sizes!

Just a little stiff around the neck but no problem She was in between sizes xs/s so we ordered the larger one which was too big and had to change it for the smallest size.

Great for my Cocker. Only problem was it fitted the body fine but I had to alter the neck as it was too big and gaped and acted as a scoop.

Item returned. They are well made but measurements are wrong. I have small cocker, 10kg. Fits round body and legs but the neck is about 15cm too big. This was a XS so I don’t know what breed of dog it’s meant to fit as the body is small and neck is enormous!

My dog is a working dog and this vest has saved her skin from numerous abrasions and reduces the hassle of removing those hairy burr seed and bramble. Wouldn't work her without this vest. Excellent product
