This is a practical jacket that does the job. I'm 5' 6" with a 40" chest. No belly to speak of. A medium fits me perfectly, and would do a taller man also, say up to 6 feet. There is still plenty of room beneath for layering, although the jacket has a light liner which serves well on a t-shirt with gilet for days above freezing, especially if walking a lot. The materials used are quality, and similar to Deerhunter but at a lower cost. There are 2 main zipped pockets and one chest pocket. A small grumble is that an inside pocket would have been nice. But that said, 3 is still enough for most occasions. The addition of a roll-out hood might have helped for wet days and to protect the back of the neck. There is a two-way main zip which is great. I'm not so sure as to how sturdy the zips will be over time, but remain optimistic. The high collar is useful and the camo very effective for woodlands (I tried taking a selfie in the local forest but couldn't see myself on the screen, that's how good the camo is... ahem). It is certainly water-repellant, but not used yet in heavy rain as that requires leggings as well, otherwise the rain runs onto the legs which, as hikers will tell you, is extremely uncomfrotable and annoying. It is completely windproof which helps heat retention, and this feature is impressive in such a lightweight jacket. All-in-all, this is a very good jacket and well worth the money paid at NFC.
