I bought this for my dad he was really pleased with it as he is now of the age where he gets cold easier.
He usually wears a large however, this shirt was very large it came down to his thighs. He kept it as he said he can tuck it in and it’s more warmth.
The fleece layer is enough to make a difference to my dad’s warmth, but not too much that it looks big and bulky. My Dad recommends it but his advice is to buy smaller than you may need.

I do like these shirts for winter wear. This one was part of my second batch, the first pair lasted 5 years. Still usable but the weak spot is the elbows fail. Reinforce the elbow and this would be 5 stars.
