Features include amazing deep pockets for your stash, plus a domed and touch taped chest pocket. The hood, based on our original Tahr hood, has a wired peak and excellent peripheral vision. And it's detachable. When you need that extra leg movement on the hills, side vents are zippered to open. The main zip is a big chunky YKK10 Vision two-way. The Windriver is the best garment you will own, whether on the farm, in the bush or downtown.

Superb jacket
I have only had this jacket for a couple of weeks and already love it. Although its said to be a winter jacket i've worn it on cool windy often damp summer days with just a thin top underneath and its not been too hot to wear. Its superbly warm and protective with its long length and wind protection. I've no doubt it will keep me warm in the winter. Its very comfortable and silent. Its said that it isn't waterproof, but shower proof, and it certainly is that. I've been out in it in driving rain for 45 minutes and the coat was dry inside. I expect if you're out in heavy rain for hours it may wet through, but for shorter spells it will keep you dry, so much so that i will be choosing this jacket to wear when i walk the dog in the rain or showers are forecast instead of a more traditional waterproof. Although i am normally a size medium i went for a size large and it fits me very well. I like a good sleeve length and also a size large allows for layering if need be. Fantastic jacket that looks like it will last a very long time.
