T3 Classic: A Perfect Hat.
T3 Classic:
A perfect hat. I have several Tilley hats, and this T3 is one of the very best. The brim is broad, especially at the sides, without being cumbersome. I am not sure I’ll use the poppers on the sides, I understand they were originally to keep the brim away from a rifle. The cord that fits around the back of the head, as well as under the chin, works splendidly even in strong winds; and whilst it looks a little strange at first, the adjustment mechanism soon makes sense, and is easy to use.
The material of this 100% cotton hat is surprisingly firm, and feels tough, (it is stiffer than say the T5 Hemp) and I can see it lasting a long time. It is exceptionally well put together and made in Canada. The Canadian made hats, followed by the Airflo ones, are in my experience, the much better made.
Definitely five stars: I bought two!

The Tilley T3 is a good quality hat, shipped in good time by NFC, in a box that meant it kept its shape. I returned the item because I ended up going for the T5 and, although NFC didn't have the replacement product I wanted, the returns/refunds process was no fuss and reasonably priced, so I wouldn't hesitate to shop at NFC in the future.
