Ultra Light Tilley hat for travel
True to size and definitely ultra light but still with the Tilley style. Just right for travelling. Haven't road tested enough to know how it may perform in warm wet conditions.

I'd not heard of New Forrest Clothing but found they had the Tilley Ultralight T5 Classic I was looking for in stock when it's now hard to find. The benefit of my big head is that the one they had left was my size & the colour I wanted. At last, a benefit!
This is my third Tilley hat over about 20 years, but the light weight & shape of this model were exactly what I was looking for. When it arrived, I wasn't disappointed.
I've not worn it out yet, but its functionality is as per my others - i.e. once you have the two cords in place it's not leaving your head for anything. My wife has this model & between us we've worn them canoeing, sailing, on lifeboats, RIBs, yachts & climbing mountains. They are the business.
Some reviews comment that some current models are made in China, not Canada. Well, I have two Canadians & now my wife and I have Chinese ones & I can't see this as a problem - my wife's is as good as my others.
You do need to be aware how they fit, so watch the Tilley videos. Once you know that you'll get your size right.
The acid test for my new purchase will be when we go to Australia later this year (which is why I bought it) where I will now be as smart as my wife. XD
