I have worn walking trousers for years!
I have worn walking trousers for years! Craghoppers and Brasher mainly. They perform well, but aren't very water resistant and you can't walk into a pub without looking like a right rambler! These trousers address both these issues. Very happy with them so far. Thank you.

These trousers are the holy grail of outdoor trousers. I’m no hunter but I spend a fair amount of time in nasty weather in the hills and in the woods and these are just perfect. They’re warm once you step into them. They’re totally waterproof and they look damn good on. Quite a narrow fit on the calves so if you’re not a slim Jim you may not fit into them well. Fortunately my legs are pretty narrow. Absolutely love these trousers.

Superb trousers
For me, these are superb trousers. Rugged thick material, good for any country activity in any weather.
In appearance they look like a cross between wax cotton and worn leather but they are very practical and comfortable.
Easy to clean, mud (and dog drool) just wipes off with a damp cloth.
Usual excellent service from NFC.

The quality of these seems good but had to return them because unless you have the legs of a sparrow they’ll be a bit in the tight side. Waist size is about right but they run quite tight on the thighs so movement is restricted

This is the second pair of Verney Carron Fox trousers that I have had via New Forest, my first pair came from a trader at a country fair. They are warm and very comfortable, they have a soft outer feel and do NOT make that 'swish' noise as you walk that a lot of watre proof trousers do. I tend to wear these all winter long. They have a waterproof membrane which works to a point, I do a lot of dog walking and have found I stay dry until the rain really lashes down and I am out for a while in that, then it starts to come through. Otherwise I love these trousers for the winter.
