On Sunday, members of the New Forest team and family took part in the ABP Southampton Half Marathon to help raise money for an organisation assisting those most in need in Ukraine.
James and Liam have taken part in the challenge to raise money for the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, run by Disasters Emergency Committee which was set up in the wake of a Russian military invasion of the country. At times of overseas emergency, the DEC brings together a unique alliance of the UK's aid, corporate, public and broadcasting sectors to rally the nation's compassion, and ensure that funds raised go to DEC agencies best placed to deliver effective and timely relief to people most in need.
James, Co-Director at New Forest Clothing who ran in an impressive time of 1 hour and 30 minutes said: “It was a great day, well organised and a lot of fun although I did feel a bit sore the next morning. I would like to thank everyone that has donated to support the Ukrainian people at this very difficult time. The money is going to a great cause”.
They have so far raised an impressive £750 at time of publishing.
